Pastoral Care

The pastoral ministry focuses on caring for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of the church and can take many different forms. Catlin Church of Christ is committed to “Doing whatever it takes to team up In Community”.  We believe in an “all hands-on deck” approach is the best and most biblical model for a church to care for the needs of one another. When we go to the pages of the Bible, we find that the pastoral ministry to the church is the responsibility of the church. Consider Galatians chapter 6, “2Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ… 10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”  We encourage all CCC members to join us in this work.
Visiting TeamThis team will make personal visits with our members who are in the hospital, care facilities, or shut-In at home. On occasion, a member’s care giver (spouse) might need a break. This team will also take some time to stay with the shut-in while the care giver attends to errands or appointments. When you are free
Card & Phone Call TeamWe are all encouraged when a card arrives in the mail or that unexpected call from a caring church member. If this is where your talents are, consider being a part of this team. When you are free
Care TeamOur shut-ins and ailing members sometimes need help in a variety of ways that might include small fix-it home maintenance, lawn care, house cleaning, transportation or even a meal. Providing one of these services to people is not only a blessing to them, but a blessing to you as well. When you are free
